Toner Cartridge
Toner cartridges are usually used in laser printers and photocopiers. Unlike ink cartridges which contain liquid, toner cartridges contain powder. Carbon is mixed with a polymer so that the quality of the printout would increase. Although the contents of an ink cartridge and toner cartridge are different, the process of placing them on paper are the same. Each cartridge injects its contents into the printer and the printer heats each substance and applies it to the paper. As for their usages, just like ink cartridges, toner cartridges vary as well, depending on the type of printer it is used for and depending on the type of tasks it will be set for. Toner cartridge contents mixtures also vary from manufacturer to manufacturer. The polymer used by manufacturers also vary but can be a Styrene Acrylate Copolymer or a polyester resin.

Manufacturers have set a standard size of each particle so that quality is maintained. Also, many other manufacturers use a chemical process to keep their particles at the same size; this renders better color once the material is printed.
